Over the course of 5 Fridays, starting on August 26, 2022, Tim De Cotta will be releasing special remixes of his hit single “Lying Eyes” (2020) by the likes of Intriguant, Houg, Halal Sol and newcomer wunderkind, Daniel Alex.

Delayed by COVID-19 and in efforts to survive, yet maintain traction after this remix EP, this release features the varied works of Halal Sol to Intriguant, bringing their unique takes on the song, taking it from deep house to electronic RnB. And then we have the ever-creative Houg and newcomer Daniel Alex, throwing the song into alternative RnB and new-funk territory, changing the vibe with wonderfully eclectic prowess.

The Remixes EP will also feature an alternative, acoustic version of Lying Eyes that Tim recorded in his “mop closet” a.k.a. his home’s guest room where all things cleaning-related are kept (best natural soundproofing), mixing it on an ironing board.

In anticipation of the 2 new singles that will follow this release, and his sophomore album Heart Matter that drops of 5 November 2022, the Lying Eyes Remixes EP is meant to get you back on things as Tim prepares to drop the album with a physical album launch at Aliwal Arts Centre on 5 November 2022 as well!

The entire remixes EP will drop on all digital platforms on September 23, after all 5 of the remixes hit the public on Instagram and Bandcamp, starting August 26.
